Electrical Product Recalls
How would you know if your tumble dryer has been recalled by the manufacturer? If you’re lucky, you might notice a report on the news, but then again, you might not! Currently, it’s time-consuming to check whether any of your appliances have been recalled, unless you’ve registered them with the manufacturer. In addition, only 20-30% of recalled items are ever actually returned to the manufacturer – that means an awful lot of sub-standard products are still out there, waiting to cause trouble!
London Fire Brigade is running a campaign to set up a national product recall register so there’s just one place to check, making recalls much more effective.
