Student accommodation panic – the brief
When our engineer attended a Student Accommodation house to carry out routine maintenance for a new client, he found the control panel in pieces. He was able to re-assemble the panel and check the system over, and everything seemed in order. However, within 24 hours the panel was showing a fault, and it was discovered that there was a problem with the panel which couldnāt be resolved. A new control panel was the only option ā āand one other thingā, the client says at this point, āwe have an Environmental Health inspection in 48 hoursā!
Solution
We hold a stock of the most commonly required fire alarm control panels, so by re-scheduling the work we were able to get an engineer on site within 24 hours. Results: One fire alarm system functioning again and fully checked ā all ready for the inspection; and one very relieved client!
