Fire alarm monitoring – what’s this?
Who’s protecting your property when you’re not there?
You’ve got a fire alarm system in place and it’s regularly tested, but what happens if it is activated when you’re away?
The increasing trend is to connect to a remote ARC (Alarm Receiving Centre) company that will monitor your fire and/or intruder alarm 24/7. This gives you the peace of mind that, even if your property is empty or you have low staffing levels there will be someone to react professionally to any activation of the alarm and respond appropriately, either by contacting the emergency services or a designated key holder. Not only does this help to protect lives, but also minimises property losses in the event of a fire or intrusion. Following a multi-fatality fire in a Care Home in Scotland, it is now a recommendation of BS 5839-1 that fire alarms in Care Homes are monitored by a certified ARC.
We are pleased to announce that we now offer this service through a certified monitoring station. For more information or to discuss your requirements call us on 0330 7000 555 or email us through our contact page.
